Migrating west toward Utah and Becoming Whole

I was another midwesterner from Chicago-land area who migrated here to Utah to live among many like minded and curious people. After graduating from nursing and having my dear son, I have now lived here longer than any other place. I learned what a sea of stars looks like in dark sky nights and horizons full of etched sandstone buttes, plateaus, scrub oak prairies as far as I could see.  I now know that a desert is truly fully alive and red rock soil stains my heart and my socks.

After Kanab, in 1991,  We moved up to the big city of Salt Lake. My career in hospice nursing took me all through the valley,  meeting wonderful people at some of the most tender times in their lives.  An on call Happenstance gave me the chance to meet the first of many wise women of the Crones Counsel. It was not long after meeting Julien Puzey, that Kaye Chatterton, Enid Williams, Kianna Bader, Ramona Adams and Annie Lehto and the many others welcomed me with open arms.  

Periodically I would joyfully attend and even present at gatherings through the years as I could. I brought along a couple of friends, cousins, and my mother who always had a curious nature about herself. Again with open hearts and arms, we were all welcomed.

Now in my later time of life, I find myself again drawn to the evolving Crone Awakening Wisdom (CAW).     I am glad to be enjoying the heartfelt connections and insightful conversations on-line.   

After an invite to be on the CAW board, I feel more growth opportunities and fun await me.  

I look forward to CAW’s next in-person gathering and more on-line classes. I hope to meet you as friends, old and new, to be a part of this ongoing community of women who continue the journey back to authentic selves. I hold gratitude for CAW in belonging and remembering and celebrating all our phases of a woman’s life… And in these times, in community, we have each other.
